Virtual Reality: Shum Shui Po VR Walkthrough
In 2021, a youth engagement and civic education summer project was hosted at City University of Hong Kong for secondary school students (S.3 to S.4) in Sham Shui Po District. By training the students to produce their virtual tours for a competition, they gained more appreciation of the historical and cultural heritage of Sham Shui Po and its amazing economic and social transformation over the past century. As a result, the project participants could become more civic-minded, culturally sensitive and more appreciative of their local community.
This virtual tour was built as a learning module for the secondary school students completing the project. It brings you to the heart of the Shum Shui Po District and introduces a few critical spots. If you find this interesting, pay a visit in person!
