Dr. Nicole Wyre

Biography

Dr. Nicole Wyre is a double boarded specialist in both Avian and Exotic Companion Mammals through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.

She graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in the United States in 2003. She then completed a rotating small animal internship at the Regional Veterinary Referral Center in outside of Washington DC in the United States. In 2006, she completed an Avian and Exotic residency at the Animal Medical Center in New York City, New York and became an avian specialist through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. Following her residency, she was first a lecturer and then the service head of the Exotic Companion Animal Medicine and Surgery department at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine. She has been working in Hong Kong as the supervising veterinarian at Zodiac Pet and Exotic Hospital since 2016.

In 2015, she received her certification as an Exotic Companion Mammal specialist though the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. In 2020, she became Certified in Veterinary Acupuncture through the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Nicole has published numerous articles and book chapters about exotic companion animals and lectures on these species.
