The School of Energy and Environment (SEE) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) is proud to announce that Prof. Wen-Xiong Wang has been appointed as the Chairman of the Expert Committee on Food Safety, effective 15 September 2024.

In this key role, Professor Wang will lead the committee in advising the Director of Food and Environmental Hygiene (DFEH) on critical matters related to food safety.

The Expert Committee advises the DFEH on existing or new food safety operational strategies and measures to protect public health. It also advises the DFEH on standards or guidelines relating to food safety and food composition having regard to international practices, trends and developments.

The School of Energy and Environment congratulates Professor Wang on this significant appointment and looks forward to his impactful contributions in advancing food safety initiatives in the region.
