  1. CityUHK Press and PCPD Jointly Organise a Seminar Titled “Protecting Personal Data Privacy – Challenges and Opportunities in the Digital Era”

    City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) Press and The Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD) jointly organised a seminar titled “Protecting Personal Data Privacy – Challenges and Opportunities in the Digital Era” on 10 June, attracting about 120 participants. At the seminar, Ms Ada CHUNG Lai-ling of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (Privacy Commissioner), Professor ZHU Guobin of the School of Law of CityUHK, and Ms Joanne WONG, Assistant Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (Compliance, Global Affairs and Research) of the PCPD were invited to share their insights about the protection of personal data privacy in the digital era. 

  2. CityUHK Press Launches New Book Corners in Tsim Sha Tsui and Sha Tin: Extraordinary Books Available for a Limited Period

    City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) Press has launched two special corners at the Commercial Press in Tsim Sha Tsui and Sha Tin. From May 12 to July 12, 2025, these corners will showcase a curated selection of various publications,including CityUHK 30th Anniversary Commemorative Book, CityU Signature Series, Academic and Professional Books, cultural studies, and literature. This initiative aims to disseminate knowledge and creative works by engaging the community in reading.

  3. Successful conclusion of ‘Venture into Your Future @ CityUHK cum CityU TechVenture Series Seminar’

    Over 120 Strive and Rise alumni, government officials, academic leaders, and industry experts explored youth innovation and entrepreneurship pathways during a special seminar that City University (CityUHK) hosted on 10 May.

    The “Venture into Your Future @ CityUHK cum CityU TechVenture Series Seminar was organised by CityUHK Press in collaboration with the Strive and Rise Alumni Club and supported by the Grace Yu Ho Wun Youth Development Fund.

  4. Strengthening Community Bonds: UP Volunteer Team Spreads Joy in Sham Shui Po

    In a heartwarming initiative to foster intergenerational connections and uplift the spirits of older adults, the City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) Press Volunteer Team visited Hong Kong Christian Service Un Chau OPlus on April 5, 2025. The event brought together volunteers and residents for an afternoon filled with laughter, meaningful interactions, and shared memories.

  5. CityUHK Press Launches Specialty Corner in Wan Chai: Unique Books and Souvenirs Available for a Limited Time

    City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) Press has launched a specialty corner near the number 74 bookshelf in Cosmos Books (Wan Chai), which is located in the basement of 30 Johnston Road. This corner will be open from March 17 to June 16, 2025. The bookshelf features a curated selection of best-sellers, cultural studies titles, professional and academic books, as well as unique souvenirs. This initiative aims to enrich readers' knowledge and aesthetic experience, thereby enhancing both their reading materials and lifestyle.

     

  6. Co-organized by CityU Press and The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong “Exploring Dreams and Career Planning

    City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) Press and The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) jointly hosted a seminar titled “Exploring Dreams and Career Planning” on 2 April, 2025. With the aim to encourage younger generations to reflect on their career aspirations and life goals, this seminar featured Prof. Albert Ip Yuk-Keung, author of Albert Ip’s Journey to Student Employment Counseling and Planning (in Chinese), International Advisory Board of the College of Business (CB) member, Chairman of the Career Development Advisory Committee for CityUHK CB, and Michael Cheng Sai-fuk, HSUHK University Librarian as guest speakers.

     

     

     

  7. CityUHK Executive Mentoring Programme Gathering

    The first official gathering of the Executive Mentoring Programme, organised by City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK)’s Career and Leadership Centre, was held on February 11, with City University of Hong Kong Press (CityUHK Press) also invited to participate. We sincerely appreciate Professor Albert IP Yuk-Keung for taking time out of his busy schedule to attend and share his invaluable career insights and life experiences with CityUHK students, inspiring them to pursue their dreams with confidence and determination.

  8. CityUHK Press is participating in the Taipei International Book Exhibition

    CityUHK Press is participating in the Taipei International Book Exhibition, held from February 4 to 9, 2025, in the International Zone, Booth A1104. The exhibition showcases hundreds of books along with various creative cultural products, introducing our publications to a global audience.

    The City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) Press participated in the "CityUHK Innovation @Community Carnival" from January 2 to 5 at D2 Place One in Lai Chi Kok.

    City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) and CityUHK Press participated in the Shum Shui Po Fun Fair, “Only.Coffee Festival” held between 14 and 15December 2024 at the Maple Street Playground.
