NOT ONLY POWDER
There's no doubt that food waste is a critical problem in Hong Kong.
Each day, over 3,000 tonnes of food waste are disposed of in Hong Kong, equivalent to 250 double-decker buses by weight, 20% of which is fruit.
We created Not Only Powder (NOP) to solve this problem. NOP gives new life to expiring and “ugly” fruit from groceries and supermarkets by collecting and drying it and turning it into powder, thus extending its shelf life from about two weeks to two years, eliminating food waste and helping end world hunger. Instead of producing more food to feed more people, we plan to utilise food that would otherwise be wasted.
