Professor Freddy Boey, President of CityUHK, congratulated all the awardees for their well-earned international recognition. He said that their achievements showed on the global stage CityUHK’s culture of pursuing innovation and excellence and their determination to contribute to Hong Kong society and the world.

“I am extremely proud of CityUHK researchers for their extraordinary achievements,” he said. “CityUHK will continue to support our faculty and students in their pursuit of excellence and facilitate their efforts to bring their innovations to fruition to create a positive impact on society.”

President Boey said that CityUHK is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year with the theme, “Innovating into the Future”, emphasising the University’s commitment to nurturing talent through innovation and pioneering research.

“CityUHK has remained steadfast in its commitment to fostering inspirational, interactive and innovative education. We will continue to cultivate talent and drive innovation through a wide range of farsighted initiatives, including the CityUHK Academy of Innovation (CAI), established earlier this year and the soon to be established Institute of Digital Medicine (IDM), which is crucial for addressing pressing global issues and contributing to Hong Kong, the Mainland and the rest of the world,” he added.
